I really like this software, but am wondering if it's possible to save GPS data from smartphone photos. For me, it shows GPS data was lost.

The GPS data is embedded into the EXIF fields and I have checked the software and those fields are saved even if you process the images. Yes, you can save the GPS details in the application if you use the PIXresizer application.
